They dont fix anything unless you bring it to their attention an absurd amount of times not to mention the "management" and i use that term loosely as they change from day to day or week to week and for some reason all seem to be incompetent, argumentative, rude, and incapable of handling the little authority allowed them! Also a. Large % of the tenants are illegal immigrants subletting their apts to other illegals which causes alot of friction since most are neglegent parents doing who knows what while their rotten kids runaround unsupervised at all hours of the night disturbing tenants without kids and going to management to bring it to their attention is a waste of time as a great deal of the time management is absent during "working" hours on a regular basis which also means if you dont put large amounts of money on your laundry card which is a total rippoff by the way, when you need to fill your card no one is in office and if you make the mistake of complaining to either manager or adams county housing authority your being aggressive and i'll say them by name zak & mirabell and the oh i dont know 7 or 8 managers weve had here at zuni plaza apts in only 2 years almost all of whom which abuse their authority. At every opportunity and as in my case my lease was not renewed because of an avoidable incident manufactured by a moron of a novis manager which is probably stretching it i doubt she even qualifies as a novis but my housing was taken from me and my honor and integrity has been degraded by ACHA! Im an honorably discharged disabled vet That as of the 23rd of February will be unfairly & unnecessarily made homeless i dont drink i dont smoke or do any drugs which seems to always seems to be ACHA Excuse to get rid of tenants they dont personally like and without a doubt need to be investigated for abuses of at risk seniors and disabled tenants which includes over charging hud & hoa section 8 vouchers and abusive unprofessional management and staff.

If your looking for low income housing, you are at the mercy of the Adams County housing staff. These people play God, while they fabricate lies about tenants to cover their butt. I live in the Terrace Gardens apartments. If you and your children want to be exposed to violence, guns, drugs, drug dealers, people smoking pot outside, street people and unruly children, then Adams county housing is the place to be. I have found the staff to be racist against whites and they accept the words of their favored tenants, which only speak Spanish. There are tenants that roam around the property drunk. One of these adults hangs around the teenage boys and you know he has an influence on them. The property is always trashed. The property owners around the property have expressed their disgust of trash that continues to blow onto their property from the dumpsters and parking lots. They REALLY hate the empty alcohol bottles that are thrown on their property from people in our buildings. The children have no respect for the property and continue to cost the taxpayers money because of the damage they do. Management does nothing to these people because they are favored tenants. Those of us single women are NOT safe on the property. We are constantly approached by street people that come right to your door and knock to beg for money and cigarettes. There is supposed to be a security person but we never see them. If we have a complaint about a tenant, we are told to call the police. When you call the police they act like they don't want to be bothered. When we do call the police, the problem person disappears until the police leave, then back to what they were doing. The neighborhood has been tagged by a gang, but no one cares enough to clean off the graffiti. If you want a safe neighborhood to raise your children, Adams County Housing is NOT the place to do it, despite what they want you to believe. Another issue is the bed bugs found in the apartments. According to the management staff, they have NEVER had bed bugs, despite what the pest control guy says. We have to have a pest control company come in every month to "control" the roaches. You are required to empty all of your cupboards and closets. If your not ready, you are fined $150. When I first moved in, the first 6 weeks, the pest control guy came 3 times. One of my neighbors did not get a notice that they were going to spray (right after she moved in), so she wasn't prepared when the guy came, she was fined the $150 fee. There are signs all over the property that say no bike riding, etc. yet the kids ride razor scooters and on the terraces and around the courtyard. They play soccer in the courtyard, they throw rocks at cars in the parking lot, they play soccer around our vehicles, they take shopping carts and ride inside them in the parking lot's. They eat in the courtyard and drop their trash wherever they are. We are all subject to a background check because violent people are not allowed to live here, yet they move in with tenants and they will knock on a paying tenants door and threaten them. The street people come through the property and are obviously on drugs. They frequent one of the tenants that reports to a parole officer. We have no privacy regarding our private information. The Housing staff share our private business with favored tenants. So while the Adams County Housing website shows positive testimonials, they fail to be truthful about what is really going on, on the property's they are in charge of.
